Recreational School Activities

In the following article, I will be sharing with you some of the activities that take place through the school years in Europaschule. My personal favorite is the Artistic Evening (Velada Artística), because every grade in Europaschule made an act to perform to the parents, and it was beautiful. Nevertheless, the first one on the list is:  

• The Olympics (Mini Olympics)

The Olympics and Mini Olympics 2022 took place in the school’s premises in the mornings of October 27th, 28th and 31st from 7 am to 8:30 am. The games selected were: Ping-Pong, relay race, obstacle race and hurdling. The Event was organized in teams. Even though the medals were individual, each grade was a team. These teams won by participating in a lot of games.

• Laterne

The Laterne 2022 took place in the Europaschule institute at night. The elementary school students made lanterns to walk around the park surrounding the school singing in German. Later the kids performed some dances that were prepared with passion and hard work for the parents.

Not to be forgotten, the Seniors sold marshmallows and ice tea. Also, we really had a lot of fun games with Miss Buezo and Miss Padilla who gave out chocolate bars as prices.

• Independence Day

On Independence Day (2022) the whole school did a walk from the park to the school. Some kids had pictures of “Famous people” in Honduran history and culture. There were also some students who dressed as these characters. When the alumni returned to the institute, they had several interpretations about traditional songs and dances. After that, there was a sale of tamales.

• Artistic Evening (Velada Artística)

The Artistic Evening (2019) took place in the institute. The students who were members in extracurricular classes prepared countless acts as well as some grades who performed all together. At the entrance there was a red carpet with movie posters, but instead of the actors, the faces of some students were photoshopped in their place. Some scholars sang, danced, and played instruments like the violin, piano, guitar, as well as the performance from the choir.

• Graduation 9th Grade

On this day, the ninth graders graduated from junior high school. The event took place in the school premises in the evening. During the event, three students gave a speech, one in German, as well as in English, and last but not least in our native language Spanish for the parents to understand all of it. Also, their guide teacher gave a speech to the students.

• Graduation 12th Grade

This event took place in the school in the afternoon, the 12 graders had their graduation from high school. At the beginning of the event, the students entered the place, and they were seated on top of the stage. After that, three students gave a speech in German, English, and Spanish for the parents, and the guide teacher gave a speech to the students about their last year in the Europaschule Institute.

• Family Day

This Event took place at the green area of the school campus. Parents were invited to have a day with their kids and have fun doing activities like, mini-games and eating. The event was in the morning, and ended at 12 pm.

• Science Fair

The Science Fair took place at the school in the morning, the students made projects about different topics, but all related to science. There were winners chosen for their effort and creativity in each grade. There was first, second, and third place for each grade that was participating in such an event.

In summary, These are all the events Europaschule has hosted in the past 3 years, and hopefully, there are more to come this year and the next ones, I hope you liked my article and saw all the events that Europaschule gave in the past 3 years.
